Introduction
At Wesley Church, Secunderabad, something very special is happening! From April 25th to May 3rd, 2025, the church is full of happy children, singing songs, making crafts, and learning about the most wonderful person — Jesus Christ!
This year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) theme is “Triumph in Christ.” That means learning how Jesus won over every difficulty and how we can win with Him too! ✨
Under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Mettu Wilson (Presbyter-in-Charge), and leaders like Mrs. Samuel Sulakshana (Sunday School Secretary), Mrs. Anitha Anand Agarwal (Associate Director), and Mrs. A Priscilla Karunanidhi (Director), this VBS is like a festival of joy, faith, and fun!
The Triumph Journey of Christ: Learning from the Greatest Story Ever Told
Every day at VBS, children gather to hear wonderful stories about Jesus — how He loved people, healed the sick, taught important lessons, and how He won over sin and death.
These stories are called The Christ Chronicles, and yes, they are better than any superhero movie!

How Jesus fed 5000 people with just 5 loaves and 2 fishes 🍞🐟

How He walked on water without getting his sandals wet! 🩴🌊

How He calmed a storm by simply saying, “Peace, be still!” ⛈️✋
Kids listen with wide eyes, as teachers tell the tales using pictures, colorful theme posters, puppets, and even live action skits!
VBS Teams
Everyone has a special place at VBS! Whether you are tiny or a tall teenager, there’s a class just for you:

Beginners – Little ones just starting to learn about Jesus

Each group gets their own special classroom space, decorated with colorful charts, posters, Bible verses, and yes, lots of glitter and smiles! 🎨🌟
Theme Songs, Action Songs, and Stories that Move the Heart
What’s a celebration without music? 🎵
Every morning, the entire church shakes with joyful sounds during the Action Songs sessions!

Children sing songs about how Jesus gives victory.

They do fun actions — clapping, stomping, jumping, and dancing!

New songs are introduced every day, teaching lessons about love, courage, and faith.
Example Song Line:
“With Christ in my boat, I can smile at the storm!”
Some songs are so catchy, even the teachers can’t stop singing!
Craft Work: Creativity
After singing and story time, it’s time for Crafts!

Making beautiful crosses, crowns, and bracelets.

Drawing scenes from Jesus’ life — the Last Supper, the Good Shepherd, Palm Sunday, and the Resurrection.

Using paint, clay, glitter, paper, and lots of smiles.
Each craft reminds children that they are wonderfully made and loved by God.
Posters, Charts, and Memory Verses: Decorating the Church of Christ
The whole church is alive with color!

Big theme posters showing Jesus walking victoriously.

Memory verse charts that teach little life lessons every day.

Bible story timelines called Christ’s Journey Walls where kids track His miracles and love.
Children are learning memory verses like:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
And guess what? They even get stickers for remembering verses! 📜🌟
The Real Superheroes: Christ’s Disciples
Classes also talk about the real-life heroes — the disciples of Jesus.
Not Avengers, not Justice League — but fishermen, tax collectors, and everyday people who did extraordinary things because they believed in Jesus.
Children learn that they too can be superheroes of faith today!
Triumph Closing Ceremony
As the VBS days come closer to the grand ending on May 3rd, 2025, there’s a huge excitement for:

Prize distributions for best crafts, memory verses, and singing 🎖️

A Closing Ceremony where children proudly perform, sing victory in Christ!
